Collective Haul (makeup/fashion) + swatches! MAC/Ulta/Target/Walgreens/JCP/Rue 21

Hello Friends!
I have been a shopaholic this past week!
I have been running all over the place trying to find new things that have sparked my interest while either reading blogs or watching my favorite ladies on YouTube.
I have visited MAC, Ulta, Target, Walgreens, JCP, and Rue 21. I wanted to share what I picked up at these places with you all :)

MAC
I have been needing a new concealer and itsbl0ndie on YouTube LOVES the Pro Longwear Concealer. OF COURSE I stopped in and picked it up! I have also heard wonderful things about the Mineralize Skinfinish Natural and wanted to give that a try. You can either use this powder as a setting powder or on its own!
I wear NW20 in concealer and Medium Plus in MSFN.
Also, while I was there a wonderful MAC lady put a gorgeous MSF blush on me and I regret now not buying it and even worse, I can't remember what it was called :(

ULTA
Okay. Ulta is like my favorite place in the world. I could literally spend HOURS in there. Just recently the mall near me has been doing some serious updating and they put a very large Ulta right in the front so I can get in and out without having to go through the rest of the mall! HEAVEN.Here are a few things I have picked up lately :)
Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Moisture Mist
L'oreal Paris Lipstick 108 Gilded Pink
NYX Matte Lipstick MLS07 Alabama
NYX HD Eye Shadow Base
NYX Nude Matte Shadow Skinny Dip
NYX Nude Matte Shadow I Have A Headache
NYX Illuminator Narcissistic
Here are swatches of the swatchable things :)
L'oreal lipstick Gilded Pink
NYX Matte Alabama

NYX Eye Shadow Skinny Dip
NYX Eye Shadow I Have A Headache

NYX Illuminator Nacissistic

TARGET
I only purchased two things from Target :)
L'oreal lipstick Peach Fuzz

NYC Bronzer Sunny
(A very popular bronzer and I'm stoked to have found it!)

WALGREENS
I picked up five things at Walgreens. Mainly went for Milani blush and also to look for the Rimmel ScandelEyes in Nude because I couldn't find it ANYWHERE! I was in luck with the eyeliner but not in luck with the blush I went there for. I wanted the Luminoso Milani blush but of course they were out. But luckily they had another I wanted to try. I also picked up the Almay Get Up And Grow mascara, Maybelline Vivid lipstick in Hooked On Pink, and the new People Style Watch magazine with Lauren Conrad on the cover :)

Below are the lipstick, eyeliner, and blush swatch.
First Swatch: Maybelline Vivid Hooked On Pink
Middle Swatch: Rimmel ScandelEyes Nude
Last Swatch: Milani blush Rose D'Oro

JCPENNEY
I went into JCP to look at their mini Sephora and ended up not picking anything up. But while looking around I did find some flip flops! It was love at first sight and the tag was marked $8 but when I checked out, they were on sale for $5! I WANT MORE! I ended up with just a brown pair that will go with everything and you can't see in the picture but they have a gold connecting piece between the flip flop and the strap. Super cute.

RUE 21
I picked up a few pretty things in Rue 21 :)
Made into a cute little collage!
'Merica Sunglasses
Sparrow Bracelet
Green USB Chord
GORGEOUS Lace Dress
Bow Headband with images of Cats :D
(It was a two pack that also came with a plain black one)
Please follow my Instagram @sksinatra and I hope you enjoyed!

Ulta, Bath and Body Works, and Claire's HAUL + mini review!

Instagram @sksinatra

Hello Friends!
I've had an itch to shop lately and so I went this morning! I really didn't get too much but I thought I'd share because everyone loves hauls right?!

ULTA

First I stopped in to Ulta mainly for NYX because there were some things I wanted to pick up and they had a buy one get one 50% off sale! Woo Hoo!

From Left to Right I picked up:
Earth Therapeutics Tea Tree Oil Foot Repair Balm
Nivea Lip Butter in Vanilla and Macadamia Kiss
Garnier Skin Renew Dark Spot Corrector
NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray
NYX Stay Matte But Not Flat Liquid Foundation in Nude
NYX Lipstick in Minimalism
NYX Lipstick in Paparazzi
NYX Nude Matte Shadow in Leather and Lace
NYX Shadow in Flamingo.

I watch Casey Holmes on YouTube and she RAVES about NYX all the time. She especially loves the Stay Matte Not Flat line because of her oily skin. I too have oily skin and decided to give it a shot. I wish I would have picked up the powder also because I'm wearing the liquid foundation now and I AM IN LOVE. My face has not looked this good... I don't think EVER. My face is super matte and not shiny at all. I walked in to my sisters room this morning and she imediately noticed I didn't look "sick". The pigmentation of my skin when I don't wear makeup or even when I do but not enough leaves my skin looking "sick". I look healthy and glowy and I uploaded this photo to my Instagram this morning. The pictures don't do my face justice. She also RAVES about the Stay Matte Setting Spray. I also used that this morning and it has a STRONG vinegar smell but it fades quickly and just helps my face stay matte and keeps my makeup in place!
I seriously need to run back and buy the matching powder.
The rest of the NYX items I just wanted to try. I've been wanting some light nude/ pink eyeshadow and the lipsticks looked pretty.
The Garnier Dark Spot Corrector I got because of the "dark spots" my acne has left behind. I don't have serious acne I just have a problem picking at the bumps when I get them leaving behind a dark spot or an acne scar. This serum says I should see improvment in 4 weeks. I think I already do though! It immeditately brightened up my face and made everything more even toned.
The foot cream I picked up just because it's summer and I wear a lot of sandals so my heels get super dry and cracked so I wanted a good cream to help keep them soft and moisturized.
I also watch Ingrid or MissGlamorazzi on YouTube and she's mentioned the Nivea Lip Butters a few times. I looked at my local drugstores (Walgreens and CVS) but had no luck. When I spotted them in Ulta I grabbed the Vanilla Macadamia one and it smells good and makes my lips soft and shiny :)

CLAIRES

I gave my sister a gift card for Claries for Christmas and she never used it so she gave it back to me :) While at the mall I stopped in and picked up a pack of earrings. A cute 6 pack with owls, bicycles, keys, flowers, the Eiffel Tower, and cameras! I took the bikes and put them in my ears..

and my sister took the owls...

and the rest are hanging up in my bathroom... :)

BATH AND BODY WORKS

Bath and Body Works has been coming out with a butt load of candles recently and the international line has been calling to me.
I stopped in yesterday to check out their new candles and fell in love with a London inspired and Greek inspired candles. The first one I picked is the London Calling Tea and Lemon. Whoa baby is it good. It literally smells like a tea with lemon. The bottom description says "A royal blend of tea, lemon, and sugar. Great traditions from across the pond!" The second one I picked is the Sea to Santorini Blue Water and White Sails. This one is hard to describe. It kind of has a florally but earthy kind of smell. The description reads "A refreshing mixture of Neroli blossoms, seawater, and sparkling orange inspired by a day of island-hopping! Ready for an amazing odyssey!"
They really did good with these new candles and I want to go back and buy more! The lids are cute too!

I already want to get back to all of these stores and buy more things! unfortunately I must wait until pay day!!
Please visit my Instagram @sksinatra and follow for pictures that don't make it on to the blog!
Until next time-

Target Beauty Haul!

Hello All!
As some of you may know, I am a preschool teacher. This past week has been teacher appreciation WEEK (not good for a lady on Weight Watchers...) and I recieved a Target gift card at the end of the week from our wonderful parents. They take such good care of us teachers! I couldn't decide what to spend it on but ultimately decided on some beauty products I've been wanting to try that I've seen my favorite beauty gurus talking about on YouTube and Instagram.
Below is what I picked up!

Hair Products:

Organix Cocunut Milk Shampoo and Conditioner and
Organix Moroccan Argan Oil Intensive Moisture Treatment.
I am so excited to try these out! I've been meaning to pick them up for a while!

Face Products:

St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub and
Up & Up Maximum Stength Acne Medication.
I've needed some new face wash and I've heard great things about the Apricot Scrub.
I have also needed a spot treatment and even though I would love Lush's Grease Lightning,
Lush isn't so close to home so I decided to try this Target Brand spot treatment out!
It has 10% Benzoyl Peroxide.

Makeup Products:

First, the brush you can't see (sorry about that!) is an ELF Small Stipple Brush,
Revlon Photo Ready BB Cream in Light Medium,
EOS Lip Balm Pomegranate Raspberry,
and Maybelline The Rocket Waterproof Mascara.
Super excited about all of these products because I have been
putting them all off for quite a while!

Please if you want a more detailed post about a certain product either leave a comment or find me on Instagram @sksinatra. I want to do a before and after/review of the Revlon BB Cream soon so keep an eye out for it!
Until next time,
Samantha

Collective Haul Part 2: New Makeup I've Been LOVING + Swatches!

Part 2 is here! These are the new products I've been collecting over the past month or so and are my favorites. The ones I reach for the most out of my collection.

Below I have included pictures and swatches of almost everything!

Maybelline Age Rewind Dark Circles in 20 Light Pale, Maybelline Coverstick in Fair,
Revlon Colorstay 240 Medium Beige for Combination/ Oily Skin.

These three items are my face! I start off with the Revlon Colorstay all over, use the Maybelline stick to cover any "problem areas" and use the dark circle eraser last under my eyes. I picked up all three of these on three different trips to Ulta. I bought the Colorstay on a recent trip because my Makeup Forever HD Foundation was getting too dark for me. It was the summer makeup! I had heard really good things about Colorstay and mixed reviews on the Colorstay Whipped. I ended up purchasing the original and I am so glad I did! I really love this foundation. It does have a strong smell whenever you open it but it quickly fades after applying. I have considered doing a full review with before and after pictures of this in another blog post. If you would like to see that please Tweet me @sksinatra or comment on my Instagram @sksinatra.

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in 601 Black Bean, Physicians Formula Palette Nude.

I didn't swatch either of these because the palette would have simply been a pain to swatch and the Jumbo Eye Pencil is a black NYX pencil! I bought both of these at Ulta online during the 40% off NYX, Physicians Formula, Revlon, and something else sale. I bought three other Jumbo Eye Pencils but I don't reach for them as often so they aren't in this post ;) I'm a really neutral eye kind of girl and when I saw this palette I knew I had to have it! So far I use it almost every day. I use the Jumbo Eye
pencil to line my top eyelashes. I enjoy a darker lash line on top.

The Balm Hot Mama! and Bahama Mama

Both of these I picked up off The Balm website. I watch many beauty gurus on YouTube and these two have been mentioned a few times and I was in need of a new blush and bronzer. Also, I wanted to try these out against the ELF blush and bronzer duo. I like these better! Maybe its the shimmery blush or the way the bronzer goes on better. The ELF bronzer goes on a little too dark and it takes a bit to thin it out. I definitely want to try other Balm products.

Maybelline Baby Lips in 30 Peach Kiss and Revlon Lip Butter in 095 Creme Brulee

These two I wear every day! Sometimes together, sometimes separately but I always have one on. Like my eye shadow, I like a neutral lip also. I love the Baby Lips because it's basically a lip balm with a color tint. It keeps my lips hydrated and adds a little color. It's not at all sticky and it smells and tastes amazing! The Lip Butter I think was a genius idea. It's a lipstick with a body butter like quality. Also very hydrating but in a lipstick! I have almost all of the Baby Lips (I think there are 5) and I have 4 of the Lip Butters. These two are very similar colors but the Baby Lips is a little pinker.

Maybelline Falsies Flared Mascara.
For some strange reason I didn't take a picture of this LOL. I'm sure everyone has seen this mascara somewhere anyway. Or maybe you even have it! It is my absolute favorite mascara right now and I have yet to find another that makes me lashes as pretty. This mascara lengthens and thickens. It really does look like I have applied false lashes!

Until next time!

Collective Haul Part 1: Body Stuff & Fall Shoes

Hello Friends!
So I've picked up a lot of things recently that I wanted to share/ talk about. This is Part 1 of the Collective Haul: Body Stuff & Fall Shoes! Coming soon will be Part 2: New Makeup I've Been LOVING.

Body Stuff: Clear shampoo and conditioner, d:fi Beach Bum texturizing spray, Pure Minerals anti-aging night cream, Revlon nail polish in 060 Cafe Pink and 220 Rain Forest.
Clear: Recently I ran out of shampoo and conditioner. I was using Aussie's volume shampoo and conditioner and I seriously loved it and almost bought it again but next to it was that new brand Clear and I've read and heard from a few people that they really liked this brand. I picked up the Volumizing shampoo and conditioner. So far I'm loving it! I have super fine, thin hair. I have to wash it every day and I can't use heavy products or it makes my hair really greasy really fast and/or weighed down. The first time I used Clear I was a little scared because, while applying, it is REALLY creamy and felt a little heavy. To my surprise my hair has volume, it's soft and shiny, and it doesn't feel greasy or weighed down! I'm excited to keep using this to see if I get any build up or if it's still going to keep making my hair feel awesome!
d:fi Beach Bum spray: Alright, let's be honest. I bought this at TJ Maxx literally like two weeks ago and I have yet to use it :/ but I suppose you'll see a review eventually If I really love it or really hate it!
Pure Minerals anti-aging night cream: I also bought this at TJ Maxx and I have been using it! I apply almost every night after washing my face. It's a strange texture (almost mousse-like), it goes on creamy, and when I wake up in the morning my face feels soft and hydrated! So far I'm really loving this stuff.
Revlon nail polish in 060 Cafe Pink and 220 Rain Forest: I picked both of these up at Walmart a while back. The pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the sparkly green because I saw it and it instantly made me think of Christmas! I applied the pink last night and although the color is pretty, the texture is not so pretty :/ It's really streaky and took 3 coats to make the nail seem like it got even color all over. There is no picture of the finished result because I didn't wait long enough and messed up a few nails on both hands by trying on boots at Payless! Shame on me! The green I have not tried yet but I'll be sure to include it in a Nail of the Day post closer to Christmas ;)

Fall Shoes: Both from Payless; American Eagle Avery Bow Flat, Lower East Side Sammi Strap Boot.
American Eagle Avery Bow Flat: I love flats! A couple years ago I was really into them and I had a billion pairs but they got old and got thrown out and I fell out of my flat phase. But baby, THE PHASE IS BACK! I really needed a pair of plain black flats because the only black ones I own at the moment have the cheetah print bow I believe I posted on a What I Wore Wednesday post. If not, just kidding! I'm sure you'll see them some day. I wear them a lot. Anyway back to the point... I needed a pair of plain black flats. I was just telling my boyfriend Ryan I wanted to head up to Payless when I saw a commercial for their Fall Sale. With that, I had to go! I spotted these flats and even though I wanted PLAIN, these ARE all black and I really like the bow. They're also really comfy :) At $16.99 they're a great buy!

Lower East Side Sammi Strap Boot: These boots are the reason I wanted to go to Payless. I have been wanting a new pair of boots and Payless always has affordable and nice quality shoes for every season. And there's always a sale! I love the straps on these and the low, slouchy ankle. They are also very comfy! These were on sale $19.99 originally $34.99. A STEAL. I am obsessed so far and I know I'll get many uses out of these!

Until next time,
-Samantha
