Collective Haul (makeup/fashion) + swatches! MAC/Ulta/Target/Walgreens/JCP/Rue 21

Hello Friends!
I have been a shopaholic this past week!
I have been running all over the place trying to find new things that have sparked my interest while either reading blogs or watching my favorite ladies on YouTube.
I have visited MAC, Ulta, Target, Walgreens, JCP, and Rue 21. I wanted to share what I picked up at these places with you all :)

MAC
I have been needing a new concealer and itsbl0ndie on YouTube LOVES the Pro Longwear Concealer. OF COURSE I stopped in and picked it up! I have also heard wonderful things about the Mineralize Skinfinish Natural and wanted to give that a try. You can either use this powder as a setting powder or on its own!
I wear NW20 in concealer and Medium Plus in MSFN.
Also, while I was there a wonderful MAC lady put a gorgeous MSF blush on me and I regret now not buying it and even worse, I can't remember what it was called :(

ULTA
Okay. Ulta is like my favorite place in the world. I could literally spend HOURS in there. Just recently the mall near me has been doing some serious updating and they put a very large Ulta right in the front so I can get in and out without having to go through the rest of the mall! HEAVEN.Here are a few things I have picked up lately :)
Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Moisture Mist
L'oreal Paris Lipstick 108 Gilded Pink
NYX Matte Lipstick MLS07 Alabama
NYX HD Eye Shadow Base
NYX Nude Matte Shadow Skinny Dip
NYX Nude Matte Shadow I Have A Headache
NYX Illuminator Narcissistic
Here are swatches of the swatchable things :)
L'oreal lipstick Gilded Pink
NYX Matte Alabama

NYX Eye Shadow Skinny Dip
NYX Eye Shadow I Have A Headache

NYX Illuminator Nacissistic

TARGET
I only purchased two things from Target :)
L'oreal lipstick Peach Fuzz

NYC Bronzer Sunny
(A very popular bronzer and I'm stoked to have found it!)

WALGREENS
I picked up five things at Walgreens. Mainly went for Milani blush and also to look for the Rimmel ScandelEyes in Nude because I couldn't find it ANYWHERE! I was in luck with the eyeliner but not in luck with the blush I went there for. I wanted the Luminoso Milani blush but of course they were out. But luckily they had another I wanted to try. I also picked up the Almay Get Up And Grow mascara, Maybelline Vivid lipstick in Hooked On Pink, and the new People Style Watch magazine with Lauren Conrad on the cover :)

Below are the lipstick, eyeliner, and blush swatch.
First Swatch: Maybelline Vivid Hooked On Pink
Middle Swatch: Rimmel ScandelEyes Nude
Last Swatch: Milani blush Rose D'Oro

JCPENNEY
I went into JCP to look at their mini Sephora and ended up not picking anything up. But while looking around I did find some flip flops! It was love at first sight and the tag was marked $8 but when I checked out, they were on sale for $5! I WANT MORE! I ended up with just a brown pair that will go with everything and you can't see in the picture but they have a gold connecting piece between the flip flop and the strap. Super cute.

RUE 21
I picked up a few pretty things in Rue 21 :)
Made into a cute little collage!
'Merica Sunglasses
Sparrow Bracelet
Green USB Chord
GORGEOUS Lace Dress
Bow Headband with images of Cats :D
(It was a two pack that also came with a plain black one)

Target Beauty Haul!

Hello All!
As some of you may know, I am a preschool teacher. This past week has been teacher appreciation WEEK (not good for a lady on Weight Watchers...) and I recieved a Target gift card at the end of the week from our wonderful parents. They take such good care of us teachers! I couldn't decide what to spend it on but ultimately decided on some beauty products I've been wanting to try that I've seen my favorite beauty gurus talking about on YouTube and Instagram.
Below is what I picked up!

Hair Products:

Organix Cocunut Milk Shampoo and Conditioner and
Organix Moroccan Argan Oil Intensive Moisture Treatment.
I am so excited to try these out! I've been meaning to pick them up for a while!

Face Products:

St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub and
Up & Up Maximum Stength Acne Medication.
I've needed some new face wash and I've heard great things about the Apricot Scrub.
I have also needed a spot treatment and even though I would love Lush's Grease Lightning,
Lush isn't so close to home so I decided to try this Target Brand spot treatment out!
It has 10% Benzoyl Peroxide.

Makeup Products:

First, the brush you can't see (sorry about that!) is an ELF Small Stipple Brush,
Revlon Photo Ready BB Cream in Light Medium,
EOS Lip Balm Pomegranate Raspberry,
and Maybelline The Rocket Waterproof Mascara.
Super excited about all of these products because I have been
putting them all off for quite a while!

Please if you want a more detailed post about a certain product either leave a comment or find me on Instagram @sksinatra. I want to do a before and after/review of the Revlon BB Cream soon so keep an eye out for it!
Until next time,
Samantha

Maybelline Color Whisper! 6 Swatches!

There are SO many moisturizing/color lip products out now and I have heard so much positive feed back on the new Maybelline Color Whisper lipsticks that of course I had to buy some and try them out! A lot of people are comparing them to the Revlon Lip Butters and I only have three because honestly, I wasn't really a fan of them. I loved the concept of a moisturizing lipstick but the color payoff on them wasn't impressive. While in my local Target last week I could not find the Color Whisper display ANYWHERE! I literally went up and down every beauty isle three times just in case I had missed them. NOPE, they weren't there. So while in Walmart yesterday I found the whole display! Two displays actually! With all 20 colors. I bought 6 because I thought these colors would look the best on me. They are SUPER moisturizing. It feels like you have a Chapstick on but the pigment of the colors are awesome! The moisture does where off rather quickly (it's not terrible but I do wish it lasted longer) but the color leaves a little stain so you still have that gorgeous color. The swatches and what they look like on the lips is somewhat different. I felt the swatch was a lot more bold than what they look like on. They are all going to look great in the summer. I want more already! Below are the colors I bought with swatches :)

"Some Like It Taupe" and "Rose Of Attraction"
"Made-It Mauve" and "Berry Ready"

"Mad For Magenta" and "A Plum Prospect"

Top Row:
Some Like It Taupe, Rose Of Attraction, Made-It Mauve
Bottom Row:
Berry Ready, Mad For Magenta, A Plum Prospect

Get UNready with me! (what I use)

Quick post showing what I use to take off my make-up and moisturize my face :)

MOST of the time I`m too lazy and/or tired to actually WASH my face so I like using the Simple cleansing face wipes. I also like the Simple exfoliating face wipes when I'm wearing a lot of make-up and feel I need an extra scrub. After I wipe it all off I pick up a Target Brand cotton round and my Boots Expert Sensitive Gentel Refreshing Toner (that's a mouth full!) and just get off any extra make-up that didn't come off and tone my face :) I really love this toner because it seriously works and leaves me skin so soft and clean. After my face dries I use the Pure Minerals Anti Aging Night Cream. It is never too early to start with anti aging products!
The wipes, cotton rounds, and toner I picked up at Target.
The night cream I picked up from TJ Maxx.

Until next time,

What I Wore Wednesday - Happy Halloween!

Halloween is on a Wednesday!
Today for Halloween I wanted to keep it simple. Just some cute ears because it's really hard to dress up and work with babies LOL they tend to slobber, puke, get boogers on, and sometimes even bleed on you. EW. I had a complete outfit planned around having cat ears. Guess what. Couldn't find the cat ears :| Ran to Walmart and everything was sold out. They only had bunny ears and bat ears left. Went with the bat because really, they're so dang cute :D They have the little ears, wings, pretty purple feathers, and little green bats! I couldn't help myself. While looking at these ears I immediately knew what I could wear and quickly got the heck out of Walmart.
Usually I have a cute little collage of my outfits but today is simply a picture. Today was so busy with the Halloween Carnival at the school this is all I could get! I hope everyone had a great Halloween and goodnight!

Bat Ears: Walmart
Purple Tank Top: A store in the local mall
Sequin Michael Kors Top: Ross
Black Crop Leggings: Target
Black Bow Flats: Payless

What I Wore Wednesday & Last Weekend Fun!

Hello Friends! It's Wednesday! Half way through the week already ;) Let's get to the outfit!
Today I wanted to be comfortable because I have been fighting the flu for three days now. What is more comfortable than stretchy pants and a skull button up?!
Skull top: TJ Maxx
Stretchy leggings: Target
Stud sandals: Rue 21
Studded purse: Ross

Not only was this outfit comfortable, every one at work LOVED the shirt! Definitely a great find at TJ Maxx!
So Sunday I was hoping to blog about the Adams Ave Street Fair we have here in San Diego but that was the day I came down with the flu! Saturday evening I went to the street fair with one of my co-workers and it was a BLAST! I had so much fun. I loved all the booths and the music and the food! I wanted to share some pictures from the night-
This was my OOTN for the street fair!
Top- Ross
Jeans- Old Navy
Sandals- Walmart

Before hitting the street fair we went to Proprietor's for a glass of wine.
I wish I could tell you what this was called. All I remember was that is was a Chardonnay.

After our wine we walked around, enjoyed the music, and I bought a gorgeous watch necklace.
I've had an obsession with watch necklaces ever since my grandma gave me hers.

Inside of the wine bar

Some crazy alcohol bottles a lady painted and turned into lamps!

The moon!

It's even more beautiful in person!

Until next time!

Sinful Colors and today's Nail of the Day!

While in Walmart one day with my sister, we ran across this new nail polish brand, Sinful Colors. Walmart had a giant cardboard stand set up introducing this new polish brand they started selling. Honestly, at first I was skeptical. It was cheap! I am a little turned off by cheap polish because I could never seem to make it work. It would clump, the brush would be too big, and/or it wouldn't be as opaque as I had hoped. That day I had passed up these colors and left Walmart with what I had gone in to buy.
About a week later I was again in Walmart and they had moved these polishes to their new permanent home on the shelf. I decided you know what, why not?! Lets give these a try. I picked up Cinderella and Timbleberry that day. I came home and tried them out. I WAS IN SHOCK. Seriously they were both perfect. They went on great, the brush wasn't too big or small, and they were super opaque! You could probably get away with one coat but I always love two.
Sinful Colors is one of my new favorite polish brands. Every time I go into a Walmart or Target or some drug store I make sure to pick up a couple new ones. They are under $2 and they are fabulous! Last week I heard Walgreens was having them on sale for 99 cents and I ran out that day and bought 4! As you can probably tell I am super stoked on these polishes! Here are a few pics from the past couple weeks of the Sinful Colors polishes I have been wearing and my collection so far.
